Which phenotypes will be selected against?

A1. Since it's selected against, both people who are heterozygous (A1-A2) and zygous (A1-A1) will have a lower chance of survival, while people zygous for A2 will survive. Over a long enough time line, A1 will be completely wiped out and only A2 will be present UNLESS there is an advantage to being heterozygous (A1-A2), which is the case with sickle-cell anemia (heterozygous individuals have resistance to malaria, zygous is potentially deadly) which is why sickle-cell anemia alleles have been retained
