Does anyone have suggestions on helping my 9 month old baby sleep through the night?

He doesn't fully wake up, just starts making little cranky noises, as soon as you put his pacifier back in his mouth he falls asleep again. But i still have to get up 2 to 3 times a night to do this. Any tips on how to keep him from doing this?
