Is it true some mexicans knw there ancient aztec/native language?

i saw on gangland that mexican mafia and nuestria familia speak spanish and english but they speak there ancient native language to confuse cops and garuds and others?? i find it interesting that mexicans teach their kids spanish and there native indian language
