The word 'Rabbi" means My Master, but Jewish people?
Rabbi can translate to my master, but in the sense that a butler would use it, giving proper respect to a human. Rabbi more accurately translates to "My Great one", again, not referring to G-d. Actually, the modern Hebrew word is Rav, which just means great.
